A catalog for objects around Earth

OrbitalWiki starts with Earth-orbiting objects that have public tracking elements. That includes operational satellites as well as other catalogued objects in orbit. Search by satellite name, NORAD ID, COSPAR designator, operator, or country.

Why deep-space missions are not listed

The catalog uses data designed for objects orbiting Earth. Interplanetary and distant observatory missions use different ephemerides and are not represented as if they had current Earth-orbit elements. This is a coverage limit, not a missing search result.

How to read a record

Use the source, retrieval date, and confidence information on each record before relying on an individual field. Orbital elements update on a different cadence from mission metadata, so freshness can vary by field.

This is an Earth-orbiting catalog built from public tracking data. Deep-space missions such as Voyager, New Horizons, JWST, and Europa Clipper are outside its scope because they do not have the TLE-style orbital elements this catalog uses.

Methodology

OrbitalWiki combines public orbital elements from CelesTrak with launch, operator, and provenance enrichment where available. Records expose their source and freshness so a missing or stale value is visible rather than guessed.
